Terms & Conditions
🎣 Tranquillity Lakes — booking rules, payments, conduct, and liability. Please read before you book.
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings at Tranquillity Lakes. By placing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to them.
1. Booking & Deposit
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.
A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
By placing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Payment Schedule
Payments must be made in accordance with the following structure:

Bookings made more than 6 months before arrival:
- 20% deposit at time of booking
- 40% due 6 months prior to arrival
- 40% due 2 months prior to arrival

Bookings made within 6 months of arrival:
- 50% payable at time of booking
- Remaining 50% due 2 months prior to arrival

Bookings made within 60 days of arrival:
- Full payment required at time of booking
All payment due dates will be clearly provided at the time of booking/checkout. It is the customer’s responsibility to make a note of these dates and ensure payments are made on time.
Failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in cancellation of the booking.
3. Missed Payments
All payments must be received on or before the agreed due dates.
If a payment is not received within 5 working days of the due date, the booking will be automatically cancelled and all payments made will be forfeited.
The booking dates will then be released and made available for rebooking.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
The deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
In the event of cancellation by the customer:
- More than 6 months before arrival → deposit retained
- Within 6 months → 50% of the total booking cost payable
- Within 60 days → 100% of the total booking cost payable
We strongly recommend that all customers take out adequate travel insurance.
5. No Show Policy
Failure to arrive on the agreed start date will be treated as a no show.
In such cases:
- The full booking amount will be forfeited
- No refunds or transfers will be offered
We are not obliged to hold bookings beyond the agreed arrival date.
6. Booking Transfers
Bookings may be transferred to another individual or group with prior agreement.
The original lead booker remains responsible for the booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Lead Booker Responsibility
The person making the booking (the lead booker) is responsible for:
- All payments relating to the booking
- The conduct of all members of their group
- Any damage, loss, or breaches of rules caused by the group
Any costs incurred as a result of the group’s actions may be charged to the lead booker.
8. Extras (Bait, Food Packages, etc.)
Extras may be added to your booking at any time, subject to availability.
- If your booking is more than 60 days away, extras will be reserved and paid with your final balance
- If your booking is within 60 days, extras must be paid for immediately
Extras are non-refundable within 60 days of arrival.
9. Booking Availability & Exclusivity
Where lakes are available for exclusive use, exclusive bookings will take priority over individual angler bookings for the same dates.
Where individual anglers have already booked, those dates will not be available for exclusive bookings.
Once a booking is confirmed, availability is locked for that period.
In the unlikely event of a system or administrative error, we reserve the right to cancel and refund any affected bookings.
10. Equipment & Security Deposit
A £100 refundable security deposit is required upon arrival for the use of site equipment and facilities.
- This deposit will be returned on departure, subject to inspection
- Any damage, loss, or misuse of equipment or property may result in deductions or full retention of the deposit
- Where damage exceeds £100, additional charges may be applied
11. Conduct & Fishery Rules
All anglers must adhere to the fishery rules provided prior to or upon arrival.
We operate a strict fish care policy. Any breach of rules may result in removal from the venue without refund.
Tranquillity Lakes operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Antisocial behaviour
- Excessive alcohol consumption
- Drug use
12. Damage & Property
Customers are responsible for any damage caused to:
- Property
- Swims
- Facilities
- Equipment
Any damage must be reported immediately and paid for.
We reserve the right to charge for repairs, replacements, or additional cleaning where required.
13. Arrival & Departure
Bookings operate on a Saturday to Saturday basis unless otherwise agreed.
Arrival and departure times will be confirmed prior to your trip.
Late departures may result in additional charges.
14. Liability
All fishing and activities are undertaken at your own risk.
Tranquillity Lakes accepts no responsibility for:
- Personal injury
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Vehicle damage
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for events outside of our control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Travel disruption
- Government restrictions
- Natural events
No refunds will be given in such circumstances.
16. Payment Reminders
Payment reminders may be sent as a courtesy only.
Customers must not rely on reminders and remain fully responsible for tracking and meeting all payment due dates.
Failure to receive a reminder does not remove payment obligations.
17. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
By making a booking, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us.
We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback with full supporting evidence, including acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Fraudulent or unjustified disputes may result in legal action to recover outstanding amounts and associated costs.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
